Don't buy one....unless you want a walking vet bill. Chuhuahua's come in one size and one size only. 'Teacup' chis are produced by breeding runt to runt to get a progressively smaller dog. These 'teacups' are prone to more health related issues than you want to know, and are generally terribly bred. If you want a chihuahua, stick to the standard size, and don't buy ANYTHING marketed as a teacup.

There is no such thing as a Teacup Chihuahua! A so called Teacup, is just a term some bad breeders use, when they breed a runt to another runt in order to get smaller puppies. There are only two types of Chihuahuas a short coat and a long coat. A Chihuahua is just a Chihuahua, no matter what size it is! I used to breed Chihuahuas, but I never bred any of my runts. It's too risky, and I was not willing to take the chance of losing my runts to having puppies. If you want a Chihuahua, please get one from a Shelter or A Chihuahua Rescue!

A correctly sized Chihuahua from a reputable breeder should not weigh more than 7lbs, most are 2-4lb. How small do you want?"Teacup" is a marketing ploy used by unscrupulous breeders to obtain money from gullible owners.before you buy a Chihuahua, read the advice ggiven by the Chihuahua breed club:http://www.the-british-chihuahua-club.org.uk/Care/Buying.php

If you want a Teacup, go to the China department at Harrods - They have very nice Teacups there! If you want a Chihuahua, then find a RESPONSIBLE breeder - Responsible breeders don't sell "Teacup"<ANY Breed> because that's a marketing ploy used by Backyard Greeders and Puppy Mills used to get more cash for their undersized sickly runt puppies.
