Are they fussy ? How do I feed her healthy when she won't eat dog food but only 1 dried product!?

Try changing the dog food flavour or brand. If this doesnt work, then try mixing a little canned food, with the dried food. Should work, sister

Put a liquid in her food and that should help her to digest the food she is eating and she maybe has something wrong with her body so take it to the vet

Get a bag of dried food. Then get some Iams "Savory sauce." Dont' drown it with the sauce, but put enough on so that she can taste it. That way she'll eat the food because the sauce makes it taste good. Be careful though, because one of my dogs was allergic to it. I think this will help solve your problem. Good Luck!

You don't mention how old she is. I have 2 Chihuahua's and they are fussy. We got them at 9 weeks old. They will starve themselves when they are that young rather than eat. What I did was fix them a plate of the same foods we ate. Then mixed some dry dog food in it. That way they get the taste they want and the food that is good for them. Now I leave a bowl of dry food in their bowl and they have no problems eating it. I do still feed them some table foods after we eat as a treat. But only if I know they have eaten their dog food. They learn rather quickly if they want table food that dry dish had better be empty. Another thing you can do is give them a vitamin table daily until they start eating the dog food. They will come around. It's not necessary to change dog foods every month. Matter fact if you do change foods on them it's best to do it slowly by adding the new product with the old till the old is taken out completely.

Chi was not fussy she liked Eukanoba! As she got older she was fussy and I would boil chicken and carrots, mash the carrots with a tiny, tiny bit of butter and cut up the chicken small add the broth and she loved that.
When she was 10-15 years she was really fussy and she would go without eating a day so I had to mix up a lactose free milk and honey just to keep her sugar up and beg her to eat some chicken broth.
I lost my Chi 12-14-09, and I promised myself that I would try not to table feed my new baby. When we went out of town I couldn't buy fresh chicken and carrots and boil and mash everything and cross my fingers so she will eat it. (don't forget the pots and pans and plate, knife and fork. Hotel did not have any pots or pans on loan. lol

I read in the previous reply that there is a savory sauce by Iams I hope to try that with my new baby when I finally get her.
