I have a chihuahua who was in heat weeks ago.. We let her out when my husband and I were staying in the hospital from Feb. 29 through march 5th when I had my baby. We just realized she is pregnant. This is the only time it could have happened as no one was home to make sure she didn't get away. Based on this when would you say she would have her pups??the only dog small enough in my area is a chihuahua next door. we were planning on breeding her anyway just not so soon. why would i spay such an expensive dog that was gotten for breeding????

Dogs are pregnant for an average of 63 days. You should be taking her to the vet really soon for a pre-natal check-up and get advice then on how to care for a pregnant b!tch, how to help her with whelping as well as how to look after a litter of new borns.

Gestation is 2 months. Get her spayed, it can be done even with fetuses inside her.Sounds as if you don't need to deal with puppies right now, this was an accident, chihuahuas are notorious for needing C-sections and having a hard time - why would you want her to have puppies???

A dogs gestation period is 60 to 63 days. I recommend going to get an exam and Xray from your vet. Small dogs often have trouble whelping.

hey this is kathy and it will take 63 days for your little dog to have puppies,and with her being so small watch her closely,not knowing what the dad is could put her in danger if the male dog was big her babies could be to big for her to have ,just keep a close eye on her.it would be good to have an x-ray done on her to see.

Gestation period is 62 days give or take a day or two. Why wasn't your dog fixed? U say when u let her out...how long was she out???...the whole time from Feb 29 to Mar 5??? If so that's another irresponsible thing. I hope you're more responsible with your child than u are with your dog.
