a puppy would be alot of work and plus a chion is a fancy name for a mutt..do u really wana pay high dollar for a mutt when u could find that same on petfinder for cheaper? if u have the money and the time look on petfinder.com for a pup or even an older dog that would be easier to care for?Pigs stink? maybe try looking in to a chinchilla they do not smell if u can keep up the care and they also are neat pets?

You said that your mom doesn't want a dog. Since you are not an adult, a dog shouldn't even be in the picture for you right now. As for your question about how much a chion is worth, well, you can't really put a price on a dogs life. I don't even think you should be thing about a dog rignt now. Stick with the guinea pigs. They make wonderful pets and do not require as much care as a dog, not saying that they are carefree, just not as much, both timewise and financially.
