Default Can a puppies tooth tighten itself back up if it is loose?

My puppy 4 and half month old chihuahua/dachshund banged her mouth outside today and was whining and in pain. I went to look at her mouth and one of her new ADULT teeth looks a little chipped and it is loose, but not hanging out or anything. It's not bothering her, and I called the vet and they just said to keep an eye on it to see if it changes color. She has a vet's appointment on Thursday so she is going to get it checked then, but do you think that it will tighten back up or fall out=(? Please people who KNOW what they are talking about. i.e. someone in the vet field or someone who has had it happen to their dog. Thanks!

If the nerve isnt dead, it should be ok, though it might always be a little loose. Chihuahua's are known for loose teeth anyway.. if its just one its not a big deal if she loses it. If the nerve is damage the tooth with turn gray and then fall out on its own or need to be pulled depending on tight the gum is around it.

A tooth cannot tighten itself back up, the vet will probably extract it or he may be able to "cement" it in place. Just like human teeth.
